Greetings & Intro!

Dear Everyone, 

It is a pleasure to be here and to engage with this exciting new initiative.

I am a composer specializing in avant-garde classical music, with research focused on the ways in which technology, computational mathematics, and artificial intelligence can enhance and re-imagine the future of musical creation, exploration, education, and production. I am also an active concert violinist, which informs and supports the dissemination of my work.

I have been privileged to collaborate with organizations across Europe and North America. Selected professional highlights include participation in the United Nations Summit of the Future, work with the National Museum of Computing (UK), and international tours presenting my algorithmic-compositions and research in Canada, England and Wales, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Switzerland, Ukraine, and the United States.

Introducing myself

Hi everyone, I just wanted to quickly introduce myself and say how much I'm looking forward to how this group and network develops!


I'm Jocelyn Burnham (www.aiforculture.com), and I specialise in AI exploration, innovation and criticism within the arts and culture sector. Within that capacity I've worked with organisations like Tate,  the Goethe-Institut, the LSE, The Open University, Arts Council England and many others to lead learning, development and discussion programmes around the technology.


For my own part, I consider my work ideologically neutral, and my ambition is to enable those working within the sector (both professional creatives and those working in the organisations) to build up their own agency and confidence so they can best represent their own interests as the technology continues to evolve.
